Welcome to Maths Scanner & AI Solution (the "App"), developed and operated by Jay Studio ("we," "us," "our"). The App is an educational math tool designed for Android devices, providing photo math scanning, drawing solvers, AI step-by-step problem solutions, geometry calculators, math formulas, and interactive learning games.

This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how it is processed, why we use Google AI technologies, and the rights you have as a user. Please read it carefully before using the App.

This policy covers all features of the App including camera OCR math scanning, AI math solution generation, interactive drawing solver, scientific & geometry calculators, math history, and ad integrations.

We collect information in three ways: data provided directly by you, data processed from your camera/drawing inputs, and technical data collected automatically by integrated third-party SDKs (detailed in Section 8).

2.1 Data You Provide Manually

• Mathematical equations, formulas, or expressions entered via our custom math keyboard
• Handwritten math drawings created on the Draw & Solve canvas
• Saved math solutions and problem bookmarks stored in your local History tab
• App configuration settings (e.g., preferred language choices)

Your saved math history and bookmarks are stored exclusively on your device using Android Room (SQLite database). We do not store your private math history on our servers.

2.2 Automatically & Feature-based Data

The following are processed when you interact with specific features:

• Camera Images (if permission granted): captured frames are processed in-memory for optical character recognition (OCR) and sent securely to Google AI API to solve math problems — see Section 4
• Advertising Identifiers: collected by Google AdMob for ad delivery and frequency capping — see Section 6
• App Usage & Diagnostics: screen interaction events and crash reports collected anonymously via Firebase — see Section 7
• Device Specifications: screen density, OS build, language, and hardware model for layout scaling and compatibility

2.3 Data NOT Collected by Us

Our App utilizes Google Gemini AI and cloud artificial intelligence models to process complex mathematical expressions, recognize handwritten symbols, and generate detailed step-by-step solutions.

How AI Requests Work

• When you scan a photo, draw an equation, or submit a math question, the text/image content is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS to Google AI services (Gemini API).
• The AI processes the math problem and returns a formatted step-by-step answer back to your device.
• No personally identifying user metadata (such as your account identity or personal profile) is attached to the math query payload.

AI Limitation & User Responsibility

AI technology operates on probabilistic pattern matching and reasoning algorithms. Consequently:

Jay Studio does not guarantee 100% mathematical accuracy for every solution generated by the AI engine. Users are strongly advised to verify AI-generated answers against official textbooks or teachers before relying on them for examinations or official submissions.

The App requests the CAMERA permission strictly to enable photo-based math scanning. This allows you to point your camera at printed or written math problems in books or notes to automatically capture and solve them.

Camera access is completely optional. You can choose to enter math problems manually using the built-in Math Keyboard or Draw canvas without enabling camera access.

To provide offline features and a convenient learning experience, the App stores certain data locally on your device using Android Room (SQLite):

• Saved Solution History: Past solved math problems, including equations, timestamps, and step-by-step answers.
• Custom Calculations: Saved inputs from 2D/3D geometry calculators and unit converter tools.
• Game High Scores: Workout scores, game levels, and daily math practice streaks.

All local database files remain strictly within your device's sandbox environment. Uninstalling the App or tapping "Clear History" will permanently delete all local history.

Ad Types Implemented

Data Processed by Ad Networks

• Google Advertising Identifier (GAID)
• Device hardware details (screen dimensions, language, OS build)
• Approximate location derived from IP address
• Ad engagement metrics (clicks, impressions)

You may manage or reset your advertising ID at any time via your device settings: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization / Reset Advertising ID.

We integrate Google Firebase Analytics to measure application health and feature usage trends (e.g., which calculators or game modes are most popular). This helps us optimize performance and deliver updates.

• Collected analytics data is aggregated and anonymized.
• No mathematical equations, scanned photos, or personal content is ever sent to analytics engines.
• Crash reports are collected automatically to identify and fix unexpected application crashes across different Android devices.

The App integrates trusted third-party SDKs to deliver core features and services. Each service handles data according to its respective privacy standards.

• All network communications between the App and Google AI APIs utilize encrypted HTTPS (TLS 1.2/1.3) protocols.
• Local history and preferences are protected by Android's application sandboxing architecture.
• Jay Studio does not maintain external user accounts, cloud databases of personal identity, or public solution repositories.

You maintain complete authority over your device data:

Maths Scanner & AI Solution is designed as an educational homework helper and learning calculator. We do not knowingly gather personal identifiable information from children under 13 years of age. Parents or guardians who have questions regarding data privacy are welcome to contact our team.

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect app improvements, new tools, or updated Play Store policies. The revised document will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App following policy updates signifies acceptance of the revised terms.
